As well as growing
willow for my own use, I am always on the look out for other
weaving materials in hedgerows or on the hills.
Using materials given by the local landscape roots me firmly
in this country and it delights me to produce work truly made
in Scotland.
Basketmaking is a feast for the senses and nourishes the soul.
Willow is my first love: for its generous colours, shape and
willingness to grow, flow and bend a hundred times without complaint
as it is
woven into new forms.
